April- OUR EARTH

 This month we learned about the continents and oceans! I bought these awesome continent powerpoints from teachers-pay-teachers years ago and they are the best. We learn about the animals that live in each continent and neat places to go and things to see around the world. 

We had a fun art project for each continent too. We also planted seeds to grow flowers. At the end of the month we colored the continents and made a map! 

March- SPACE

This month we learned about SPACE! We learned about the 8 planets and 5 dwarf planets in the Milky Way. We also learned about moon phases. 

We had a fun St. Patricks scavenger hunt and Easter craft. 

We also went on a field trip to Papa Murphys. We watched how they made big batches of pizza dough. Then we got to make our own pizzas to take home! 

 

February- THE BODY

This month we learned about our bodies! We started by learning about our five senses: smell, touch, see, taste, and hear.

Then we learned about some of the organs in our bodies and what they are called. We also learned to name a few bones! We made a cool diagram of all we learned. 

We had a great Valentine's Day party!

January- ANIMALS

During the month of January we learned all about animals. We learned to classify mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles.
