March- SPACE

This month we learned about SPACE! We learned about the 8 planets and 5 dwarf planets in the Milky Way. We also learned about moon phases. 

We had a fun St. Patricks scavenger hunt and Easter craft. 

We also went on a field trip to Papa Murphys. We watched how they made big batches of pizza dough. Then we got to make our own pizzas to take home! 

 

February- THE BODY

This month we learned about our bodies! We started by learning about our five senses: smell, touch, see, taste, and hear.

Then we learned about some of the organs in our bodies and what they are called. We also learned to name a few bones! We made a cool diagram of all we learned. 

We had a great Valentine's Day party!

January- ANIMALS

During the month of January we learned all about animals. We learned to classify mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles. 

 

December- MANNERS

This month we learned about manners. We learned how to show respect, be polite, take turns, and set a table. 

We also had some Christmas fun! 

 

November- SEASONS

This month we learned about seasons! We learned about Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. For each season we had a special box filled with seasonal clues. We pulled the clues all out of the box and dressed someone up and guessed which season he belonged in. This is Calvin, dressed up with our Winter box.

We had an indoor snowball fight for winter, too. 

We love to do "bug yoga" each day after circle time. We stretch and breathe and pretend to be bugs. 

We also learned about the first Thanksgiving in America and made little turkey costumes. Cutest turkeys ever!
